Terms of Use

Version of October 9, 2026. These are the rules Lumex runs by, in plain words. By using lumexquest.ru or the Lumex app, you agree to them.

1. Who we are and what Lumex is

1.1. Lumex is an educational game: you name a goal and it builds a path of lessons with tasks. The service is provided by Akhmedkhan Timurovich Sharapudinov (“we”). Contact: support@lumexquest.ru.

1.2. These terms are a public offer. By starting to use Lumex (opening the game, building a path or creating an account) you accept them. When you create an account, you confirm this by tapping “Create account” (or “Give me a code”) — a link to these terms is right under it. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1.3. Lumex is currently free. If paid features appear, their terms will be described separately and shown to you before any payment; what is free now will not become paid without notice.

2. Age and children

2.1. The game is designed for children from about six years old and for adults. A child under 14 uses Lumex under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on the child’s behalf.

2.2. When an account is created, we ask for the year of birth. If the person is under 14, the account is created only with a player code — no email or other contact details — and the nickname is never shown on the leaderboard. This way we do not collect contact information from children, including under the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) for children under 13.

2.3. Teenagers aged 14–17 may create an account with email themselves, but we recommend doing it with a parent. If you are a minor, you confirm that your parent or guardian has agreed to these terms.

3. Account

3.1. An account is optional: without it, progress is stored only on your device and is lost when the device data is cleared. An account keeps progress across devices and puts you on the leaderboard.

3.2. You can sign up with email and password or with a “player code” without email. Keep your password and code secret: everything done under your account is considered done by you. If someone else got access, write to us.

3.3. You can delete your account at any time: Settings → Delete account, or by email to support@lumexquest.ru. This deletes your email, password and cloud progress.

4. Rules of conduct

4.1. You may not:

• use a nickname that is offensive, obscene, calls for violence or discrimination, advertises, contains links or other people’s personal data, or impersonates someone;
• enter goals or wishes that break the law or the rights of others;
• inflate XP or ranking with scripts, bots, multiple accounts, or by tampering with the app or its requests to our server;
• overload the service, bypass limits (including energy), try to access other people’s accounts or data, or copy the service or its content for your own products.

4.2. If the rules are broken, we may change the nickname, remove the account from the leaderboard, reset inflated results or block the account. We will notify you of serious measures by email if the account has one.

5. AI-generated tasks

5.1. Paths, tasks, hints and explanations are written by a language model. We check and filter them, but the model can make mistakes. If you see one, tap “Task has a mistake?” under the task and we will look into it.

5.2. Lumex is a practice tool and a game, not an educational institution. It does not issue certificates and does not guarantee exam or school results; for important matters, check with a teacher and a textbook.

5.3. We refuse to build paths on topics that are dangerous for children or unlawful.

6. In-game items

6.1. XP, levels, ranks, energy, chests, heroes, backgrounds, emblems, titles, hints and streak freezes are in-game items. They exist only inside Lumex, have no monetary value, are not property, cannot be sold, exchanged for money or transferred to other people.

6.2. Energy limits generating new content: a lesson costs 1⚡, a new path 3⚡, continuing a finished path 2⚡. You hold up to 25⚡ and it refills on its own (+1⚡ every 30 minutes). Mistake review, Lightning and fox explanations are free. If generation fails, energy spent on a path is returned.

6.3. Chests are given for free for playing and contain a random reward. Chest rarity odds: common — 55%, rare — 28%, epic — 13%, legendary — 4%. The rarer the chest, the better the reward; heroes come from epic and legendary chests, and if five chests in a row had no hero, the next one is guaranteed to have one. Chests cannot be bought.

6.4. We may change the game balance — costs, odds and rewards — to keep the game fun and fair. New odds are published in this section. We do not take away rewards already received, except for rule violations (section 4).

7. Rights to the service and your texts

7.1. Lumex, its code, design, heroes, art, music, sounds and texts belong to us or are used by us lawfully. You may use them only inside the service, for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7.2. Texts you enter (goals, wishes, nickname) remain yours. You allow us to process them to build paths and tasks, show your nickname on the leaderboard and improve the service, for as long as you use Lumex and free of charge.

8. Personal data

8.1. What data we collect and why is described in the Privacy Policy. Consent to the processing of personal data is a separate document — the Consent to Personal Data Processing.

9. Liability

9.1. Lumex is provided “as is”. We do our best for it to work without interruptions and errors but cannot guarantee this: there may be network failures, server maintenance and outages at providers (for example, the language model).

9.2. We are not liable for the loss of progress stored only on a device without an account, for the consequences of you sharing your password or player code, or for decisions made solely on the basis of model-generated tasks.

9.3. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under consumer protection law.

10. Changes and termination

10.1. We may change these terms. The new version is published on this page with a new date; we will warn you about significant changes inside the game. By continuing to use Lumex after the changes, you accept the new version.

10.2. You may stop using Lumex and delete your account at any time. We may shut the service down after announcing it in advance on the website and in the game.

11. The App Store app

11.1. If you downloaded Lumex from the App Store, these terms are concluded between you and us, not Apple Inc. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content, support and maintenance, and for addressing any claims relating to it (including legal compliance and third-party rights).

11.2. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app. You use the app under the App Store Usage Rules; Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use on Apple devices. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

12. Law and disputes

12.1. These terms are governed by the law of the Russian Federation. We try to resolve disputes by correspondence — write to support@lumexquest.ru, we reply within 10 business days. If we cannot agree, the dispute is considered in court under the law of the Russian Federation, including consumer protection law. If you live in another country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of that country also apply to you.
